Helga Zepp-LaRouche in China, Feb. 23, 2014.

March 15th, 2014 — A wide-ranging interview by China Radio International [1] with Schiller Institute Founder and President, Helga Zepp-LaRouche in Beijing, is to be aired on Monday, March 17, but is already available on CRI's website. In his introduction, host Zheng Chenguang noted Zepp-LaRouche's seminal role in the development of the Eurasian Land-Bridge concept.

Zepp-LaRouche led off by discussing the imminent danger of an economic blow-out and the need for U.S. Congress to immediately implement the Glass-Steagall legislation. In reply to questions from host Zheng Chenguang, who had interviewed EIR correspondent Bill Jones last year, Zepp-LaRouche explained the imperative of abolishing the present bankrupt financial system and moving to a Hamiltonian credit system. In reply to questions on Europe and the "recovery" in the trans-Atlantic region, she demolished any illusions that people in China may still have about the "recovery" under present political conditions, in the trans-Atlantic system, and called for abolishing the EU system and returning to the type of cooperation established in Europe between Adenauer and de Gaulle as a collaboration among fully sovereign nations. On the basis of a Hamiltonian credit system, important infrastructure projects, like the NAWAPA water project in the United States, could be realized in order to put the world back on the path of real economic growth.

She pointed to the successful Moon mission of China with Jade Rabbit, envisioned by China as a step toward mining Helium-3 on the Moon, as the direction the world must take in order to realize the "common aims of mankind." In reply to a question on China-Japan tensions, she noted that the ultimate cause of the present Japanese attitude was really provoked by the Asia "pivot" of the Obama Administration and the corresponding AirSea Battle Doctrine, which is aimed at eliminating China's "second-strike" capability. There are other forces in Japan, she noted, who would like to move in a different direction than that staked out by the present Japanese leadership. She referred to the intense faction fight in the United States between a patriotic faction, represented by Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey and others, and the British faction in the Obama White House, which is pushing Tony Blair's insane "Right to Protect" Doctrine, a blatant attempt to eliminate national sovereignty entirely and place the world under the dictates of the major financial and banking firms.

The tasks that remain for mankind, after we have eliminated the bankrupt Wall Street system, Zepp-LaRouche said, will be to eliminate nuclear weapons through a global system of missile defense, a coordinated war on drugs and terrorism backed up by a major project of infrastructural development in Eurasia, as outlined by President Xi Jinping's Silk Road Economic Belt, and the development of a system of defense of the planet against asteroids and comets.

On CRI's website, Zepp-LaRouche's interview is positioned next to the press conference given by Premier Li Keqiang at the National People's Congress, which concluded on March 13, thus giving it a prominent place which will attract more viewers than usual.
