“Today, every inhabitant of this planet must contemplate the day when this planet may no longer be habitable. Every man, woman and child lives under a nuclear sword of Damocles, hanging by the slenderest of threads, capable of being cut at any moment by accident or miscalculation or by madness. The weapons of war must be abolished before they abolish us. “Men no longer debate whether armaments are a symptom or a cause of tension. The mere existence of modern weapons—ten million times more powerful than any that the world has ever seen, and only minutes away from any target on earth—is a source of horror, and discord and distrust. Men no longer maintain that disarmament must await the settlement of all disputes—for disarmament must be a part of any permanent settlement. And men may no longer pretend that the quest for disarmament is a sign of weakness—for in a spiraling arms race, a nation’s security may well be shrinking even as its arms increase.”

February 11, 2014—Three weeks ago, a large audience gathered in Boston, Massachusetts, at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, to soberly commemorate a beloved president, John F. Kennedy, through the beauty and depth of a performance of one of mankind’s greatest achievements, the Requiem in D minor, by W.A. Mozart. Now, the world is presently being accelerated into a fast-paced trajectory toward global war which could culminate in an hour-and-a-half thermonuclear exchange between the United States and Russia, and possibly China, quickly extinguishing the spark of life and beauty from this planet for years to come. The violence in the streets of Ukraine continues to escalate, with the financial backing of the Obama administration and other Western powers, ultimately tending towards the installment of another puppet government, controlled by the bankrupt British and American financial elites and hostile to Russia.

Therefore, it should be evident to any thinking individual, that the world is facing a civilizational crisis, deeply rooted in the nasty Wall Street-dominated financial system and evident by the stench of American popular culture which has overtaken the minds and souls of our young people, since the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, leaving them virtually walking zombies wandering the streets of America’s dilapidated cities today. Were Kennedy alive and in the presidency today, appropriate actions would be taken, in accordance with our Constitution, to save this beautiful nation and inspire the necessary quality of leadership in our elected officials, to act. President Kennedy’s premature death has left those of us who are living with the responsibility to do what he intended: to make the crucial intervention to take the world off the trajectory of war.

Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder of the Schiller Institute, took this up in a recent statement:

“Adequate metaphors for these two tendencies as historical forces are the Greek mythological figures of Zeus and Prometheus. Zeus, the man-hating ruler of Olympus, typifies the oligarchical model, where the privileges of the elite are all that counts, and the people have no rights. Friedrich Schiller, in his Legislation of Solon and Lycurgus, describes the Sparta of Lycurgus as the prototype of the oligarchical State, in which everything is subordinated to the interests of the ruling elite, who are free to kill the slaves—the Helots—at will, whenever they find it appropriate.

Prometheus, man’s friend and fire-bringer, strives to the utmost to enable mankind to embrace the achievements of progress, and thus to improve his livelihood. What is Promethean in man is his creative power, the divine spark of new knowledge which makes man truly free, and liberates him from the oppression of the oligarchical system. Just as Zeus, in Aeschylus’ tragedy Prometheus Bound, punishes Prometheus for bringing fire to man by chaining him forever to a rock, so today the oligarchy hates and fears the creative mental powers of free individuals, which mean the defeat of oligarchical rule...Still today, the American Constitution represents a watershed in human history—that is true despite the repeated, constant attempts by the British Empire to reverse American independence by convincing the U.S. Establishment to adopt the model of imperial rule under the Anglo-American special relationship. Great presidents, such as John Quincy Adams, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and John F. Kennedy, time and again have revived the spirit of American independence.”

If this war is allowed to occur because of a failure to remove Obama from office through impeachment, how many great works of sculpture, poetry, Classical composition, paintings, and discoveries in statecraft, would be lost to mankind forever? If we do succeed in stopping this, it is because we can imagine the potential of mankind to embark upon a massive economic revolution hearkening to the great economic principles of Alexander Hamilton’s National Bank and the increase of human creativity through the development of thermonuclear fusion and other scientific and cultural challenges for mankind.
