Call for Rallies for Peace on Saturday, March 3, 2012

March 2012

All of our lives are hanging, literally, by a silken thread. If the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey and a series of other American military officers had not argued vehemently against a military attack on Iran, the greater part of humanity would have been lost, already now, in a global thermonuclear war.

The reason for this threat of war does not lie in the alleged atomic weapons program of Iran, about which all the national intelligence services in the U.S. National Intelligence Directorate agreed, in their official National Intelligence Estimate (NIE), has not existed since 2003. The fundamental reason lies much more in the fact that the financial system of the entire trans-Atlantic world is hopelessly bankrupt. This British Empire — the so-called system of globalization — is currently carrying out a drive to the very edge of the nuclear abyss, in order to force Russia and China to their knees, to make them abandon their sovereignty and their high technology-oriented economic policies.

This regime-change policy (after the wars against Iraq and Libya) is directed not against Syria and Iran, but foremost against Russia and China. Included in this policy on several levels is both the threat of assassination against Vladimir Putin, and the building of a European missile defense system, which is obviously not aimed against Iran but against Russia. Since Russia and China are making it very clear that they will not bow down to this in any way, there is now an acute danger that the forces of the British Empire will provoke a thermonuclear confrontation between the United States and Russia.

This confrontation has escalated since Vladimir Putin announced that he would again compete for the presidency. Open assassination threats are multiplying in the so-called mainstream media, as, for example, in the magazine Foreign Policy, which titled it "Putin Is Already Dead"; or from Boris Berezovsky, who demanded the Qaddafi treatment for Putin. This has also included the campaign by the political apparatus around Project Democracy and George Soros, who have already been responsible for the orange revolution in Ukraine, the rose revolution in Georgia, and now for the efforts for a "white" revolution in Russia. These paid provocateurs have planned since September of last year that there would be charges of vote fraud in the current parliamentary and presidential elections in Russia.

If this war should happen, probably nothing will any longer remain of humanity. It is in the nature of thermonuclear war that the entire arsenal is launched in the first strike; and the reason for the resistance by General Dempsey and others lies precisely in this reality.

Europe would be directly hit by this Third World War because there are a great number of targets on its territory. Even if no nuclear bombs were to explode in Europe, the use of thermonuclear weapons in other regions of the world would lead to a Nuclear Winter, which would darken the sunlight across the entire world, and lead to continuously freezing conditions for at least a year. All crops and farm animals would perish in this period. The food reserves for populations all over the world would quickly be used up. All human beings who did not take refuge in some self-sufficient bunker, would die, but even for the leadership elites in these bunkers, death would be certain, with only a small delay. The radioactive contamination of the air would mean a tortured radiation death after a few weeks for anyone.

While German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle refused his country's participation in the case of the war of aggression against Libya, the German government since then has obviously bowed under pressure to the policy of regime change coming from the British Empire against Syria, Iran, and Russia. For the reasons already described above, this posture risks sacrificing the existence of the German population. We therefore demand that the Federal government not only expressly remove itself from participation in such wars, but that, in case of war, it must deny, among other things, the right of overflight of German airspace to the war-making forces, as Willy Brandt did in the case of the Yom Kippur War of 1973.

War can no longer be a means of resolving conflicts in the age of thermonuclear weapons, because for every problem, there is a diplomatic solution.

Given a threat which potentially risks the existence of the human species, the question is posed to each individual: Can we turn away from this insanity in time, and dedicate ourselves — together with Russia and China — to the common aims of humanity?

Come to the Demonstration for Peace!
