ABC/Disney Mini-Series ‘Path to 9/11’ Weaves Web of Lies

Statement by Amelia Boynton Robinson, Sept. 14, 2006

What better way is there to destroy the confidence in the people or a country than to intentionally deceive them? These deceits may be in many political ways. Example, we have no oil or gas on any of our territory, or in our country; we lie about the people’s Social Security or Medicare, or use other blinders to shield the real truth from the American people. Such false accusations weaken the confidence of its citizens, and what we see from time to time only shows more plainly the global breakdown of the world banking system, which was exposed to the world in a webcast on April 27th, 2006, where the real, true hidden truth of the oncoming crash was exposed in the prediction of Lyndon H. LaRouche.

The war in Iraq is a fatal disaster. The American Broadcasting Company and Walt Disney seized upon the failure of the war, to make money instead of telling the truth, thus keeping the citizens less informed of the mountain of death of all human beings. Not knowing where to turn and what to tell the public, the big business cartels, oligarchies, financiers, with Bush and Cheney, have strengthened the web of lies in the made-for-TV movie "Path to 9/11," in which they blamed the 9/11 attacks on former President Clinton. How ridiculous, to think Walt Disney and its magnitude of money, would make such a movie, caught in a web of hate and confusion, and dared to stoop to the lowest level of deceit, to blame someone else? Five years ago the Twin Towers were attacked, along with the Pentagon; and we don’t want to forget the passenger plane over Pennsylvania. I believe in memorials, but the system has not let a day pass, of the 1,825 days since Sept. 11, 2001 without opening up the old wounds of sadness. People want to grieve in their own way, but this is like rubbing salt in an old wound. It’s like torture. And the movie is manipulative, and makes the wound even worse emotionally, and in many cases, people have to go more frequently to a psychiatrist, or seek other medical attention, because of the mental disturbance that they found in the movie, that was made to make money.

I’ve been through this tremor. Having been a registered voter in the state of Alabama since 1933, and having run for a seat in the U.S. Congress in 1964, Walt Disney made a movie in Selma (entitled "Selma, Lord, Selma") and portrayed me as an "Aunt Jemima" type of woman, emotional and slap-happy, entering the voter registration office, picking a quarrel with the registrar, being ejected from the office, and quarrelling with Sheriff Jim Clark, who threw me in jail. The purpose of lies was to make money.

The web of lies is well-woven in the deception of the American people. So true is my mother’s saying, "Oh, what a woeful web we weave, when first we practice to deceive." Have you been deceived about what’s going on in the world, by the movies, books, papers, and radio? You don’t know?
